Lynn Sorsoli is Research Scientist at the CRGS, where she directs the Adolescent Perceptions of Risk Project. She formerly directed the Media Study in the Adolescent Sexuality Project. She wass co-director (with Dr. Tolman) of the CRGS Postdoctoral Training Program. Dr. Sorsoli received her Ed.D. at Harvard’s Graduate School of Education in 2003. She has been a member of the media study research team since its inception in 2001. Dr. Sorsoli focuses on research design and methodological issues, both quantitative and qualitative. Her narrative research traces speaking and silence across the lifespan and explores the risks and complexities of "telling" from a relational perspective, specifically in the relationship between disclosure and psychological health. Most recently, she has explored the disclosure experiences of male survivors of childhood sexual abuse and the ways these experiences are complicated understandings of masculinity. She has published her research in The Journal of Emotional Abuse; The Journal of Aggression, Maltreatment, and Trauma; Men and Masculinity; and The Narrative Study of Lives.
