Evidence of Being: The Black Gay Cultural Renaissance and the Politics of Violence

Dr. Bost is continuing work on his study of the marginalized history of black gay male literary and cultural movement activities in Washington D.C., and New York City at the fforms used by black gay male writers to address trauma and violence in black communities, build community among black gay men, engage in political mobilization, and assert complex narratives of racial, gender, and sexual selfhood.

This project is being funded by the Presidential Award and the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs at San Francisco State University.
