The search for reasons for homosexuality and Gender Identity Disorder has been a search that has been elusive and politically charged at best for decades. Sometimes we come across research that politics may not allow us to publish without some type of ramifications, or sometimes we don't really know. The truth is, that each person is a case by case scenario with its own set of circumstances. What is true in one person, may not be true in another. Quite possibly genes could affect some, while perhaps others were influenced by tragedy a few years after birth. A case could be made in either situation for a plausible explanation. We do know this, that the scientific method not only permits us, but also outlines structure for how all cases can be persued and catagorized. Although it is safe to suggest that people who do not fall into any of these catagories can be considered a control group, there is no reason to generalize people or even fear the truth of a discovery because we are afraid of the conclusions that the populous may come to. If it is in fact a verifiable truth. it can be presented in a professional and scientific manner, and society as a whole will benefit from the knowledge. We can not control reactions, but we should not fear them either. No matter what side of the fence you are predisposed to, you are automatically wrong because science can provide you cases on both sides. That is the reason...
