Recently in one of my classes we took a field trip to a few different adult stores in the city to explore how sex is made into and sold as a commodity, and it made me think more critically about the nature of sex toys. In some states you have to be 18 to buy one, and in certain places they illegal to sell or possess, yet they can also be prescribed by health practitioners and counselors to help treat physical, emotional, or interpersonal issues.
