Remember being a kid and playing Mad Libs with your friends? I bet back in 1953 when Leonard Stern and Roger Price were inventing Mad Libs, they had no idea that a group of sex students would use their invention for erotic fun. While kids may use these for nonsensical amusement, Mad Libs can also segway into some erotic enjoyment by yourself or with partners and friends.
During our Cohort-led class this semester, we used Mad Libs as a way to discuss the pleasures of erotic writing. It was an activity that allowed us to explore the language of erotica. We took an excerpt of erotic fiction and deleted several words, replacing the missing expression with prompts such as verb, noun, or adverb. In groups, we filled in our own words to create distinct stories. We had so much fun with this activity that we decided to write some of our own Mad Libs and share them with you here.
For those of you not familiar with Mad Libs, first complete the list of words without looking at the story. Fill in your pre-selected words in the blank spots in the text. Read, laugh, and enjoy!
We have included some of our very own Mad Libs for your enjoyment!
