 SUNY Press is proud to announce a new competition for the best

single-authored dissertation or first book manuscript in the field of

queer studies. We welcome nonfiction manuscripts that exemplify

cutting-edge scholarship that engages issues of lesbian, gay, bisexual,

transgender, intersex, or other non-heteronormative experience, whether

the area of focus is historical or contemporary. The competition is open

to scholars from all disciplinary backgrounds, but we especially

encourage work that speaks effectively across disciplines, and projects

that offer new perspectives on concerns central to the field of queer

studies. Possible topics may include, but are not limited to, the

Love LGBT film?  Want to help others find great LGBT films to use in classes or meetings?  At Frameline, we're always looking for folks who are willing to review new LGBT films.  We use reviews on our website and in our outreach, and we often provide discounts on films in exchange for reviews.  Working on a journal article that would be better with a film source?  Let us know! 

We also like to keep track of films that are good for middle school and high school youth.  Let me know if you work with kids or teens and would like to review films specifically to help others who work with youth find great film resources.
