We are now living in a world where communicating with each other can be done with a click of a thumb. I may be living here in the US, but I can easily connect with my sister who is now living with her husband and son in Spain. How? Using Facebook and Twitter, of course!
It is through Twitter where both my sister and I found out that our dad will be married to his girlfriend. The entire world can easily viewed that anouncement if they care. But still, a news had been posted and have reached until the other side of the planet.
In other words, people are now using social media sites to be updated with the latest news. Who could forget the tweet of one journalist who happened to be at the right place at exactly the right time, and announced to the world that Osama Bin Laden's mansion had been attacked by the US soldiers. And more recently, I found out that rapper Heavy D is already dead due to heart attack.
Using social media sites can be one of the most efficient ways of disseminating information. True, anyone can simply post whatever they like on their Facebook or Twitter account.
