Carmen Gomez Mandic Bio 

Carmen Gómez Mandic, ScD, MPH, is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow for the Gay Couples Study and the Gay Dads Study. She joined CRGS in September 2010. Carmen earned her doctorate from Harvard School of Public Health in 2008 and then completed a two-year fellowship in the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Health and Society Scholars program at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Her dissertation and postdoctoral research focused on caregiver/parental literacy, income disparities in social participation among children with disabilities, and well-being among aging family caregivers of children with developmental disabilities. Carmen’s research interests include family/parent support, children with special health care needs, family caregivers in marginalized populations, and management of chronic stress associated with disability or illness.
